Marion Henderson R.N. 1921-2007 MIRAMICHI, NB - Marion Henderson, R.N., wife of G. James Henderson, of Route 108, Derby, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday evening, November 23, 2007, at the age of 86. Born in Chatham, on February 24, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Hattie (Bird) Bird. She was a homemaker; a Registered Nurse, by profession, after graduating from the Fredericton School of Nursing, she worked in the Fredericton area, as well as in Kingston, Ont., Bathurst, Cape Breton and Newfoundland, prior to returning to the Miramichi area. She was an active and dedicated member of the Derby United Church; a member of the U.C.W.; a member of the Derby Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her husband, G. James Henderson; one daughter, Elizabeth M. Henderson, of Moncton; one son, Peter M. Henderson (Robyn), of Grafton, N.S.; two sisters, Elizabeth Rignanesi, of Queenston, Ont. and Carol Harder, of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Jamie, Michelle and William; five great grandchildren, Lexie, Sam, Cameron, Jensen and Emma. She was predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Leonard, Robert and Howard Bird. By her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to a memorial service to be held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King Street, on Monday, December 3, 2007, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Ross Wiseman. Interment will be in the family lot of the Derby United Church Cemetery, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Derby United Church, the Extra Mural Nursing Program, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
