Llewellyn A. Delaplante 1940 - 2007 Llewellyn Alexander Delaplante, 67 passed away unexpectedly at home on November 23, 2007. Born in Toronto, he was the son of the late Llewellyn and Margaret Delaplante. "Del" as he was better known, was a 38-year veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and pursued a career as a computer literacy teacher after retiring from the military. With an incredible passion for life, love and laughter, Del enjoyed coaching woman's baseball, home renovations, woodworking as well as his everlasting love / hate relationship with the game of golf. Always quick with a smile, a word of encouragement or an offer of assistance, he brought out the very best in those around him. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sister, Nancy; son, Michael; and daughters, Tina and Michelle. Also, he will be dearly missed by Blanche, Betty, Frank, Jim, Shaun, Chris and the extended O'Neil family. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, November 27th from 9 to 11 AM. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB.
