Richard H. "Dick" Brown The death of Richard H. "Dick" Brown of Riverview, formerly of Portage Vale, occurred suddenly at the Moncton Hospital, Tuesday, November 27, 2007; he was 76. Born in Woodstock, he was the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Stairs) Brown. Dick worked in the trucking business as a driver and then in sales. He loved the outdoors, hunting and camping and he bowled with the Tuesday seniors at Parklanes. He is survived by his dear friend, Betty McCully; his daughter, Caroline Brown - Oaks of Smith Falls, ON; granddaughter, Naomi Mitchell of Brockville, ON; three great-grand children; half sister, Debra Aboui (Gus) of Mississauga, ON; cousins, Barbara Steeves (Austin) of Dawson Settlement, Wendy Richard (Jerry) of Moncton; aunt, Peggy Hanson. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Nichols) Brown; sister, Joan Manuel of Connecticut. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, where visiting hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11 am, with Rev. J. Nicolle officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
