Doris Gertrude Dunlop

With heavy hearts, the family of Doris Gertrude Dunlop, age 84, of Maccan, announce her passing at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst, on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

Born in Nappan, she was a daughter of the late Leonus and Elizabeth (Clattenburg) Smith. She was a member of the Nappan United Church.

A kind and loving mother, Doris, will be sadly missed by her daughter, Linda (William) Block, Amherst; 3 grandchildren, Stephen, Glenn and Sheila. She was predeceased by her husand Embree Dunlop in 1987, and by brothers, John, Roy and Stanley.

Doris' remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Church Street, Amherst (667-8777), with funeral services Friday, March 13, 2009 at 2 pm, Rev. Bob Mack officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Burial in the Amherst Cemetery in the spring. www.furlongjones.ca
