Jean 'John' Laplante
Jean 'John' Laplante 1931-2007 Jean 'John' Laplante, 76, of Cameron Street, Moncton, passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, December 21, 2007. Born October 18, 1931, in Montréal, QC, he was the son of the late Sergeieus and Rose Alba (Roy) Laplante. He was a retired Sergeant with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces and Clasp decorated for his duties with the U.N. in Cyprus, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, the Dieppe Veterans Association, member and past director of the Air Force Veterans Club and Color Party, member of U.S.I., and past commissionaire at the Greater Moncton Airport. He is survived by two daughters, Diane Radevski (John) of Markham, ON, and Jeannine Belliveau (Francis) of Ottawa, ON; four grandchildren, Jeff, Daniel, Aleksandar, Jordan; and his special friend, Doris Maillet of Moncton. He was predeceased by his wife, Stella (Blacquière) Laplante (1997); also his brothers and sisters, René, Rémi, Jeannine, Murielle, and Liette. Visitation at maison funéraire Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday, December 24 from noon until departure for St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, from where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
