Roy Norman Garland The death of Roy N. Garland of Oromocto, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, December 26th, 2007. Born in Petitcodiac, NB he was the son of the late Zadkiel and Sylvia (Kay) Garland and husband of Evelyn M. (Hogan) Garland. Roy was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid golfer and sports enthusiast and a Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Roy is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his sister, Ruby O'Brien (Erald) of Bedford, NS; sister-in-law, Melda Garland of Moncton, NB; brother-in-law, Paul Beasley of Kentucky as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, George; sister, Gerri Beasley and half-sister, Dorothy Codling. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home (357-5100) on Friday, December 28th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with the Knights of Columbus holding a tribute service at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, December 29th, 2007 at 11:00 am. Rev. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Augustine's Catholic Cemetery in Grand Bay-Westfield, NB.
