Margaret Kathleen LeBlanc Nov. 17, 1915 Dec. 31, 2007 Margaret K. LeBlanc of Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB, formerly of Bedford Ave., Moncton, passed away very peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, December 31, 2007. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Major) McCabe. Margaret was the very loving wife of the late Raymond J. LeBlanc. During their long and happy married life (65 years), Marg and Ray lived in various cities, including Lethbridge, AB, Sherbrooke, PQ, Pointe Claire, PQ and Halifax, NS. In 1970, they established Astra Lite Studio, a lighting fixture store in the Bayers Road Shopping Center, Halifax, NS. After selling the business and retiring in 1979, Marg and Ray returned to their hometown, where they enjoyed their retirement years. They spent seventeen of their retirement winters in St. Petersburg, FL. During her working career, Margaret was employed as a secretary, bank teller and bookkeeper. For many years, she was a member of the Catholic Women's League at Holy Family Parish. Margaret loved life to the fullest and had a wonderful sense of humor. She always had time to listen to others' problems and her deep insight into human nature helped her to be a compassionate, caring advisor to many. Beyond everything else, her family was the center of her life. Margaret will be sadly missed by all of those whom she loved so dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Macedo (Braz) of Allentown, NJ (USA), three grandchildren, Shawn Macedo (Inna) of Robbinsville, NJ, Dr.Lisa Jacob (Glen) of Verona, NJ, and Michelle Brinck-Lund (Jonathan) of Basking Ridge, NJ. Marg was also the proud great-grandmother of Ethan Macedo, and Grace and Nathaniel Brinck-Lund. Marg will also be deeply missed by her brother, John McCabe (Dorothy) and her sister, Katherine McCabe, both of Moncton. In addition she will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Agnes (John) Wonacott, Edith McCabe and Marie (John) Gillis and two brothers, Robert McCabe and Harold McCabe. In lieu of visitation, a memorial prayer service will be held on Thursday evening, January 3, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Holy Family Church, Falkland St., Moncton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11:00 am, also at Holy Family Church. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at 3:00 pm on January 4, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation or the National Stroke Association. All donations will be greatly appreciated by her family.
