Kenneth "Ken" Gagnon
Kenneth "Ken" Gagnon 1950 - 2008 Kenneth "Ken" Gagnon, 57, of Main St., Shediac passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born July 5, 1950 in Shediac, he was the son of Irène Maillet and the late Aquila Gagnon. Besides his mother, Irène (Maillet) Gagnon of Shediac, Ken will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 33 years, Murielle (Melanson) Gagnon; one son, André (Karen) of Shediac; two daughters, Charline Gagnon (Mathieu LeBlanc) of Dieppe, and Jolyne Gagnon (Mario Boudreau) of Shediac; mother in law, Rita Melanson of Résidence Beau Séjour, Shediac; four sister-in-laws, Marguerite Lavallée (Gilles) of Montréal, QC, Annette Goguen (Ola) and Phyllis Williams (Donald) of Cocagne, Jeannine Gautreau (Victor) of Memramcook; four brother-in-laws, Alban Melanson (Fernande) of Dieppe, Oscar Melanson (Diane) of Tracadie, Omer Melanson (France) of Gatineau, QC, Pierre Melanson of Grand-Falls; one aunt, Éveline Watson of Shediac; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Gagnon was commissinaire with the Canadian Corps Commissionaires in Moncton and a guard with the R.C.M.P. Detachement in Shediac. A founding member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #7334, Père Donat LeBlanc, Shediac, Ken was a 3rd degree member. He was a member of the Boishébert Club, and a former Director of la Caisse Populaire de Shédiac. Ken loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and volunteering. The family will receive relatives and friends at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45 a.m.). Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
