Reverend Dr. William Beach, Rtd. ST. ALBERT, AB - The Reverend Dr. William Beach passed away on January 15, 2008 in St. Albert, Alberta, after years of living with Alzheimer's. Rev. William is survived by his loving wife, Claire Beach; daughters, Susan (Valary Howard) and Ann (Peter) Blandy; son, David (Margaret); grandchildren, Sarah and Curtis Blandy. He is predeceased by his son, Peter; and his parents, Stan and Ella Beach. Born in Plaster Rock, NB, in 1931, he was ordained in 1955 as a United Church minister. He served in Stanley, NB; Truro, NS, Moncton, NB, and Sackville, NB congregations. In 1970, he became Director of Continuing Education at St.Stephen's Theological College in Edmonton for six years. He then served congregations in Millwoods, Edmonton, and in Grande Prairie, Alberta. From 1984 to 1994, he worked for AADAC as a community educator. In retirement, he continued with various church and community involvements. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Albert United Church, 20 Green Grove Drive on Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 2:00pm with Reverend Scott Agur officiating.
