Rita Richard 1914 - 2008 Rita Richard, age 93, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Sainte-Anne de Kent, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, on Wednesday January 23, 2008. She was the wife of her first husband, the late Gerard Maillet (1956) and her second husband, the late Frank Richard (2001). Born in Richiboucto-Village on June 4th, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Albert and the late Marie (Née Allain) Arsenault. Rita is survived by five daughters, Bernice Daigle of Fredericton, Carmen Richard (Normand) of Westford, Mass., Marielle Bouchard (Normand), Aline Arsenault (Donald) both of Moncton, Cécile Scott (Richard) of Nacogdoches, Texas; two sons, Guy Maillet (Bernice) of Moncton, Laurie Maillet of Sainte-Anne de Kent; one daughter-in-law, Claudette Maillet of Moncton; one son-in-law, Gilles Godbout of Grand Falls; one step-daughter, Patricia Richard of Arizona; one step-son, Roger Richard (Huberte) of Fitchburg, Mass.; one brother, Eymard Arsenault (Louise) of Richiboucto-Village; thirteen grand children; thirteen great grand children; two step-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter, Ginette; one son, Omer and one brother, Aldeodat. Rita worked in the housekeeping department of the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent before her retirement. Visitation will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Thursday January 24th from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Friday January 25th, 2008 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
