Leonce J. Cormier

Leonce J. Cormier 1927-2008 Mr. Leonce J. Cormier "Bayonce", 81, died peacefully Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 at The Moncton Hospital. His last 12 years were spent in Moncton on Mollins Cr. but originated from Shediac. He was born on January 31st, 1927. Leonce served our country during the Second World War, and worked at No5 Supply & Services Depot until his retirement in 1978. After retirement, Leonce enjoyed his time mowing lawns, taking care of his vegetable garden, & walks with his beloved dog KC; he lived his life by saying everything is "just about right". He was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert & Elise (McGraw) Cormier; two brothers, Henri in WWII, Joseph; and one sister, Corine Goodall (Donald). He was married to the late Eleonore (Richard)1995. Leonce is survived by his son, Gilles L. Cormier (Charlotte); Monique Goguen, daughter in law; his brother, Jean-Paul; and sisters, Alma Landry (Donald) both of Shediac, and Marie-Anne Gionet (Martin) of Saint John, as well as several nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, his remains have been cremated, there will be no viewing and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Shediac, where his final resting place will be in the St Joseph Cemetery. A notice will be posted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Leonce may be made to your favorite charity.
