Joseph C. Gaudet 1917 - 2008 Joseph Gaudet passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Moncton City Hospital. Joseph was born in St. Gilbert PEI, son of the late Abdon and Albina (Arsenault) Gaudet. Husband of Martha (Cambré) Gaudet. Beside his wife, Martha, Joseph will be sadly missed by his daughter, Simone (Gustaaf) Op DeBeeck of Vorselaar-Belgium, two grandchildren; Marc (Brenda) and Cindy (Peter) as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Alma and Aurelie. Joseph was a Veteran of the Second World War and a Legion Member branch # 6. Arrangements entrusted with Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton, (506) 852-3530. The Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Legion service at 1:50 pm in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 2:00 pm, on Friday, February 15, 2008 with Father Bernard Sloan officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Garden View Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be held in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
