Alyre Savoie 1935 - 2008 POINTE-SAPIN, NB - Alyre Savoie, 72, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Born in Pointe-Sapin to the late Melina (Bordage) Savoie and the late Alfred Savoie. Alyre was a fisherman and had worked at Crown Sea Foods until he retired. He is survived by two sisters, Marguerite Meunier (late Clarence) of Moncton and Christina (Euclide Dugas) of Irishtown; two brothers, Alfred (Florence) of Saint John and Arthur (Lorraine) of Pointe-Sapin; two sisters-in-law, Laudia and Suzanne of Pointe-Sapin; also by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Antoine, Yvon and Joseph. Resting at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Slumber Room in Pointe-Sapin with visitation on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until time of funeral. The funeral will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.
