Georgiana Gallant 1912 - 2008 Georgiana Gallant, 95 of St. Ignace, NB, wife of the late Arsène Gallant, passed away on Wednesday, February 20th at La Villa Maria, Saint Louis de Kent. Born in St. Ignace, NB in 1912, she was the daughter of the late Frederic and the late Maggie (Arsenault) Richard. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and playing solitaire. Georgiana is survived by ten daughters, Lilliane Gallant, St. Louis, Irma LaPlante, Montreal, QC, Ozelie Gallant, Florida, Hélena Arsenault, St. Louis, Yvonne Gaudet (Léopold), Memramcook, Emilienne Gallant, Levis, QC, Rose Marie Gallant (Adélard), St. Ignace, Gemma MacAskill, St. Catherines, ON, Marguerite Richard (André), Richibuctou-Village and Bernice Legere, St. Edouard; one sister, Evelyne LaPlante, Kingston, ON; one brother, Edgar Richard, Grand Digue; 33 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son, Ovila (1995); one daughter, Cecile (1996); four sisters, Ozelie, Annie, Pauline and Oliva; and three brothers, Alyre, Alphée and David. Resting at Thompson's Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday at 9 pm until the time of the funeral. The funeral mass will be held at St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.
