Lorraine Blanchette 1929 - 2008 Lorraine Blanchette, age 78, of Bouctouche and formerly of Dixon Point, has passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Saturday February 23rd, 2008. Married to the late Raoul Blanchette (1971), she was born in Bouctouche on August 28th, 1929 to the late Cyril and the late Salomée (LeBlanc) Melanson. Lorraine is survived by one daughter, Rita Jaillet (Reg Jessome) of Bouctouche; three sons, Robert (Cheryl) of Kitchener, ON, Gerard of Bouctouche, Conrad of Waltham, Mass; three sisters, Elise Robichaud of Manoir St-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, Germaine Poirier, Lina Savoie (Gerald) both of Bouctouche; four grandchildren, Ghislaine, Gilles, Kimberley, Yves; four great grandchildren, Denis, Monica, Emma, Marie and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three sisters, Anne, Edmée, Henriette; and one brother, Antoine. Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Tuesday February 26th, from 1 to 2:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday February 26th, 2008 at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
