Hilda F. Steeves 1912 - 2008 The death of Hilda F. Steeves of Moncton occurred on Saturday February 23, 2008, at The Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home. Born in Dover, NB on December 13, 1912 she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Mary (Blakney) Steeves. Hilda retired from CNR accounting department after many years of service. She was a member of Highfield Street United Baptist Church, Moncton. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Hazel Wall and Thelma Pillsbury; her brothers, Henry and Herbert Steeves. By personal request, there will not be any visiting hours at the funeral home and a graveside committal service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery later in the spring.
