Mildred I. Adams 1915 - 2008 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mildred Iva Adams, widow of the late Thomas I. Adams, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Black River Bridge, passed away at her residence, on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the age of 93. Born in Black River Bridge, on Jan 6, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Christian S. (Godfrey) MacDougall. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge; a life member of the U.C.W. as well as a life member of the Womens Institute of Black River Bridge; a member of teh Black River Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by three daughters, Doris Taylor (Dawson), of Black River Bridge, Vera James (David), of Miramichi and Della O'Neill (John), of Black River Bridge; ten grandchildren, Darren, Rhonda, Shirley, Charlene, Rachel, Rory, Tina, Rodi, Charla, Linda lee; four great grandchildren, Hannah, Regan, Chase, Ava; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, in 1993; one son, Wilfred Adams; four brothers, John Godfrey, Fred, James and Robert MacDougall. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Friday only, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 1 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Community Cemery Fund, orany charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
