Hazel M. Hudson 1925 - 2008 The death of Hazel M. Hudson of Royal Court, Riverview, NB and formerly of Moncton, wife of the late G. Ernest Hudson, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, February 28, 2008. Born in Mickleover, Derbyshire, England on May 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Emily (Hallam) Nix. A veteran of the Second World War, She served with The Women's Royal Navy Service until 1945. After immigrating to Canada with her husband in 1951, she was employed with Blue Cross, Simpson Sears, and she retired with many years service from CFB Moncton. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch #6, and The Air Force Veterans Club, a former member of the 31 Club, the Citation Indians Trailer Club and the NB Ballroom Dancing Association. Hazel will be sadly missed by her son, Robert and his wife, Charlene; grandson, Derrick of Moncton; a sister Marjorie Goodall, of Llandovery, Wales; 2 sisters-in-law, Marjorie Nix of Chiliwack, BC and Marjorie Nix of Leamington Spa, England, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Hazel was predeceased by her Stepmother, Florrie Nix; a sister, Edna Nix, and brothers, Edmond, Gordon and Maurice Nix. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10 at 2:00PM, at First Church of the Nazarene, 21 Fieldcrest Dr., Moncton, with Pastor Gary L. Cowper officiating. Following the memorial service, the family will receive visitors at a reception in the church Fellowship Hall. Cremation and interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
