Laurie J. Cormier Laurie J. Cormier, 84, of Atkinson Avenue, Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence, Shediac, on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Born February 24, 1924 in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Richard and Ida (LeBlanc) Cormier. He was retired from Swift and Hub Meats. He is survived by six children: Anna Bastarache (Gerry), Henry (Rose), Willie (Diane), Roger (Émilia), and Yvon (Heather) all of Moncton, Irene Masterson (Joe) of Mass.; a brother, Willie (Raymonde) of Moncton; nine grandchildren, Julien, Sophie, Sarah, Abagail, Jason, Tammy, Donna-Marie, Joseph, and Richard; many great-grandchildren. His wife, Rose (Hébert) predeceased him in 1998. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be held Saturday, March 29 at 11 am.
