William "Bill" C. Lutes William "Bill" C. Lutes, 82, of Riverview, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Mary Helen (Russell) Lutes. Bill was employed with CN Rail for 38 years retiring in 1981. Bill served four years in the Home Reserve. A man of faith, he was an Honorary Deacon and Charter Member of Uplands Baptist Church, serving on many boards and committees through the years; a member of the Wesleyan Golden Years Group and sang in the Gospel Men's Choir. Bill enjoyed travelling, spending time at his camp. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Reta Lutes (Powers), Riverview; two sons, David (Gail), Hopewell Hill, Neil (Anne), Moncton; three daughters, Belinda Copp, Riverview, Wendy Newman, Oxford Junction, NS, Beth Roundell (Rob), Moncton; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins. Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Rena Wilkins, Frances Weir; brother, Eldon. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, Saturday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, March 30, 2008, 2:30 pm, Rev. Gordon James officiating.
