Arleen M. Terris
Arleen M. Terris 1921 - 2008 Arleen M. Terris, 86, wife of the late Harold Terris, of Weldon passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2008 at her residence. Arleen was born in Doaktown, N.B. on September 27, 1921 the daughter of the late Merle and Susan (Johnston) Betts. She was a member of the First Hillsborough United Baptist Church and sang with the Silver Chords Choir. Arleen was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a very big part of her husband's life, always being there to support him with all his endeavors. Arleen enjoyed bird watching and playing the piano, which she did daily. She was also an animal lover and held a special place in her heart for her dog "Terry". She was a very special lady who will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Susan Steeves (Dale) of Weldon; son, Jim Terris (Anna) of Riverview ; grandchildren, Bradley Parker, Jason Terris and Jennifer Cox (Dave) and by her great grandchildren, Jaelyn and Brenan; sister-in-laws, Evelyn Steeves of Hillsborough, Shirley Terris of Moncton, Jean Terris of Peterborough, Ont.; brother-in-law, Herbert Terris (Veronica) of Parksville, B.C. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold in 2001. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday evening, March 31, 2008 from 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the First Hillsborough United Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. Interment will be held in the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough at a later date.
