Melina Richard 1917 - 2008 Melina Richard, wife of the late Richard Richard, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, St. Anne de Kent on Sunday March 30, 2008 at the age of 90. Born in St. Anne de Kent, Melina resided in Bedec, and was a resident of Manoir St-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, NB. She was the daughter of the late Albert Caissie and the late Marie-Jeanne (Allain) Caissie. Melina attended the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village. She was also a member of the Richibouctou-Village Golden Age Club and loved to play bingo. Melina is survived by five daughters, Annette Babineau, Fernande Jaillet (Altrice), Marie-Jeanne Allain (Ronnie), Alfreda Paillé (Réal), and Francine Collette (late Raymond); four sons, Albert (friend Jeannette), Regis (Nancy), Jean-Guy (Murielle), and Maurice (Denise); five sisters, Odila, Eugenie, Bernice, Emerise, and Laudia; five brothers, Charley, Régis, Gérard, Emeri, and Baptist; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Melina was predeceased by her husband, Richard; two daughters, Marie and Simonne; one son-in-law, Raymond Collette; one daughter-in-law, Rose-Marie; one grandchild, Rémie Collette; six sisters, Yvonne, Célina, Lauraine, Elmire, Edmée, Marie; and three brothers, Alyre, André, and Zoel. Visitation will take place Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of funeral. Remains resting at St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Richibouctou-Village. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery at a later date.
