Bernice Melanson MEMRAMCOOK, NB - Bernice Melanson, known for her great sense of humor, friendliness and helpfulness for people in need, of Pre-D'en-Haut, passed away at the Foyer Saint Thomas on Monday April 7, 2008 at the age of 73. Born in Cormier's Cove, she was the daughter of the late Aladin Cormier and the late Genevieve Bourque. She worked at Veger Belliveau until her retirement. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Pre-D'en-Haut. She is survived by her husband, Yvon Melanson; three sisters, Anida (late Romeo) Arsenault of St-Joseph, Yvonne (Georgie) Duguay of Shippagan and Alina (Roger) LeBlanc of Dieppe; one brother-in-law, Camille Cormier; one special niece, Lynn; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her one sister, Bernadette; and by three brothers, Ulysse, Ovila, Leopold and an infant brother Ovila. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 Rte La Vallée, Memramcook on Wednesday, April 9 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, April 10 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 6:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pre-D'en-Haut on Thursday April 10 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
