C. Frank Johnston, of Dorchester, occurred Saturday
Frank Johnston DORCHESTER The death of C. Frank Johnston, of Dorchester, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Born in Grand Falls, NB he was the son of the Late Christie and Emma (Rivers) Johnston. Frank was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He worked for over 30 years at the Dorchester Penitentiary retiring as a Classification Officer and was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Dorchester. He will be sadly missed by his sons, David (Mary) of Dartmouth and Richard of B.C.; his daughter, Anne Johnston (Robert Baxter) of Dieppe, NB, and four grandchildren, Nancy (Ray) MacKenzie, Laura Johnston, Dylan and Stephen Johnston. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by his wife Frances in 1984, two brothers, Roderick and Ellis and 6 sisters, Mina, Florence, Gretchen, Carrie, Queenie, and Pauline. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute service on Monday evening at 7:30 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15 at 11 am, Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will take place in the Dorchester Cemetery later in the spring. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
