46, North Sydney It is with great sadness and humble hearts, we the family of David Arthur MacLean announce the passing of our beloved friend and family member. He passed away suddenly at his home in North Sydney on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008. Born Jan. 28, 1962, in New Waterford, he was the son of Anna (MacDougall) MacLean and the late Raymond Myles MacLean. David leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, Ann Fifoot. David was also a beloved father to his children, Shana and Kurtis MacLean, Jana (Drew LeClaire) and Josh Fifoot and his two grandsons, Jaxon and Rylan. Countless lives have been touched by his unforgettable personality. He was always there for his brothers and sisters, Billy MacLean, Ontario, Audrey (Dave) Boudreau, New Waterford, Carol Ann (Mike) Harrietha, Glace Bay, Anita (Wayne) Chaisson, Ontario, Arlene (Kevin) McNeil, Halifax, Robert MacLean (Chris), New Waterford, Lisa (Kenny) MacDonald, New Waterford, and Randy MacLean, Ontario. He will be loved and missed by all his nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. David will also be missed by the Fifoot family. He was a former employee of Sobeys for many years. To say he was a handyman would be a tragic understatement. David was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping trips with his family and friends. He was a selfless person whose attitude was 'I can do that,' 'we can have that done in no time' or 'when can we start'. David has countless friends, who he was never too busy to take time to visit. A lot of David's time was spent with his best friends Buddy Fifoot and John and Janet Eyking. Our lives have been changed forever. David gave this world the greatest gift it could have asked for . . . himself. There will be no visitation. A funeral mass for David will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Jim Attwood officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, New Waterford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation, or any charity. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W.J.
