Annie P. Colpitts
Annie P. Colpitts Annie P. Colpitts, 78, of Petitcodiac, and formerly of Pleasant Vale occurred suddenly at her home on May 25, 2008. Born in Colpitts Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Vibert and Hilda (Powers) Colpitts. She was the wife of the late Everett Colpitts. After the death of her mother, Annie, age 3, made her home with he aunt, Mary (Powers) and uncle, Nelson Prosser, and became like a sister to Robert. She will be sadly missed by Robert & Betty Prosser, Salisbury; her sisters; Frances White, Hopewell Hill, Viola O'Blenis, Killams Mills, Gladys MacDonald, Riverview, and Evelyn Danahy, Riverside; many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Frances Bannister, Moncton. Besides her parents and husband, Annie was predeceased by her sister, Jessie Bezanson and her brother Ernest Colpitts. Her home in Pleasant Vale was a special place to many, especially her nephews, Robert and Vincent O'Blenis, Herman White, as well as Ernest Wiley and many more. Annie was a faithful member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, a Sunday School member, a life member of the W.M.S., a member of the Seniors group, and was active in the community and church. She will be dearly remembered by many for her thoughtfulness, love, and her great faith. She had a love for nature, animals, and the outdoors. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at Armstrong's Funeral Home; the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating in the officiating in the Petitcodiac Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the Pleasant Vale Cemetery.
