David Fury SACKVILLE, NB - The sudden death of David Fury, age 61, occurred at his home in Sackville on Monday, June 9, 2008. Born in Point De Bute, he was a son of the late Winston and Alice (Tingley) Fury. David was a loving father. He was employed with the Federal Government for 31 years at the Springhill Penitentiary. David was a superb card player - being one of the best Bridge players in the Maritimes. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by 2 sons, Trevor (Tammy), Sackville, James (Melissa), Sackville; 2 daughters, Michelle (Michael) Wheaton, Sackville, and Kerri (Robert) Walton, Point De Bute; 10 grandchildren; 7 brothers, Ronald, Amherst, George (Donna), Moncton, Winston (Marion), Mount Whatley, Keith (Linda), Little Shemogue, Donald, Mount Whatley, Brian (Sandra), Dieppe, Kenneth (Sunday) of Point De Bute; 6 sisters, Doris (Richard) Jones, Port Perry, ON, Gail (Donald) Coates, Fenwick, NS, Vera (Mark) Strathearn, Amherst, Heather Robichaud, Amherst, Kimberly (Terry) Bird, Aulac, Susan (Duane) Pauley, Westcock; several nieces, nephews and his many friends at the Drew Nursing Home. He was predeceased by infant brother Douglas and sisters Alma Acton and Marilyn Stiles. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 2 pm, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Burial will take place in the Point De Bute Cemetery.
