Cheryl Thelma (Alcorn) Steeves

Cheryl Thelma (Alcorn) Steeves 1957 -2008 Cheryl Thelma (Alcorn) Steeves, 50, of Moncton passed away peacefully on June 12, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side. Cheryl was born in Sussex on November 29, 1957 the daughter of the late Kenneth Alcorn and Thelma (Berry) Alcorn-Leslie. She was a homemaker and loved being a mother. Cheryl was a jack of all trades and could do anything she put her mind to. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Hillsborough. Cheryl will be remembered for her great sense of humour, she would do or say anything. She was the youngest and the only girl in a family of five. She was the heart of the family and really enjoyed family get togethers, always having Christmas dinner at her place. If there was a family function Cheryl was involved in the planning. She loved to cook and was known for her cakes and pickles. She was one of the best cooks in Albert County and if you didn't think so she would tell you and then prove it. She was truly a great lady who will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Lindsay Steeves (Adam Kane) and Amber Steeves (Jonathan Cormier) both of Moncton; the apple of her eye, granddaughter, Delaney; her four brothers, Brian Alcorn (Beverly) of Lakeville, Bernie Alcorn (Roberta) of Riverview, David Alcorn (Brenda) and Gary Alcorn (Sherry) both of Hillsborough. She will also be missed by Martin Steeves of Hillsborough, the loving father of her two daughters; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Monday, June 16th, 2008 at 2:00pm with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. Interment will be held at the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough. For those who wish donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Friends Of The Moncton Hospital or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, 734-2780 www.albertcountyfh.com
