Roberta Ida Fields 1943 - 2008 Roberta Ida Fields, 65, wife of Eric Fields of Little Shemogue passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville following a lengthy illness. Born May 13, 1943 in Little Shemogue, she was the daughter of the late Lorne Field and the late Ida Morrison. She leaves to mourn her husband of 45 years Eric Fields; three daughers, Sandra Stright of Murray Corner, Christina Fields (Rick MacDonald) of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Tracy Matthews (Tony) of Moncton; one step-son, Tim Field (Bernice) of Cap Pelé; two sisters, Marilyn Hutchinson (Ron) of Quispamsis, Valerie Doucett (Mike) of Cape Tormentine; one brother, Bill Field (Margaret) of Fredericton; six grandchildren, Nicolas, Sabrina, Calvin, Colby, Michael, Sophie; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Isabel; and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Michael (1965) and by a brother, Rodney Field. She was the past owner and operator of Colonial Take Out in Murray Corner, and a correspondent for the Sackville Tribune for several years. She inspired many people throughout her 26 year battle with cancer. Funeral service will be held at Murray Corner First United Church, Murray Corner on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2pm. with Rev. William Drysdale officiating. Interment will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin followed by a reception. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital or Murray Corner First United Church.
