MAUREEN ELAINE CURWEN The death of Maureen Elaine Curwen, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Cecil Curwen, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, June 16, 2008. Maureen was born in Saint John, NB, on December 29, 1935, daughter of the late William Sherwood and Doris Marie (Raynes) McQueen. She was employed at the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years, and as office manager for Dr. G.E. Stiles. She enjoyed gardening and was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She is survived by sons, Mark (Michelle) of Grand-Bay Westfield, NB, Craig (Jennifer) of Saint John, NB; daughters, Deborah Anne Curwen (William Strachan) of Moncton, NB, Dana Lynn (Claude) Richard of Dieppe, NB; brothers, William G. (Diana) McQueen of Saint John, NB, and Sherwood J. (Audrey) McQueen of Fredericton, NB; and five grandchildren, Brennan, MacKenzie, Garath, Adara and Connor; and several nieces and nephews. Maureen was predeceased by her parents and her husband. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. www.brenansfh.com
