Aug. 31, 1962-Nov. 2, 2008 Aurora, Ont./St. Margaret's Village With extraordinary sadness and melancholy hearts, we the family of Calvin Blaize MacDonald announce his sudden passing at his home in Aurora, Ont. Born in St. Margaret's Village, he was the son of Suzanne (MacNeil) MacDonald and the late Ronald Martin MacDonald. He spent the last number of years in Ontario, where he worked as a labourer. Calvin is survived by his wife and best friend, Kimberley Hill; their daughter, Hannah Jean, who was the "apple of his eye"; his mother, Suzanne; sisters, Goretti, Ottawa, Lois (Shane) MacNeil, St. Margaret's Village; brothers, William (Grace) Codrington, Charles (Sheila), Halifax, Leonard (Lisa) and Reg, both of St. Margaret's Village. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Mary. Visitation for Calvin MacDonald will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, in St. Margaret's Parish Centre, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass to celebrate his life will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret's of Scotland Church, St. Margaret's Village, with Fr. Dan MacDonald officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow the service in the parish hall.
