Mary Leonille Ward SACKVILLE - The death of Mary Leonille Ward, age 86, occurred peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Born in Tracadie-Sheila, she was the daughter of the late Pascal and Therese (Comeau) Richardson. In early years, Leonille worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Saint John. In 1947 she married Arthur Ward and moved to their farm in Wood Point, where they lived together for 56 years. An avid card player, she enjoyed her home and her family. Leonille was well known for her baking abilities. She was a faithful and lifelong member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church. She will be sadly missed by four sons, Irvan (Connie) Frosty Hollow, Wallace (Yvette), Bedford, NS, Amos, West Sackville, Evan (Shannon) Red Deer AB; three sisters, Regina McGraw, Val Comeau, NB, Alma Savoie, Tilley Road, NB, Therese Savoie, Lower Neguac, NB; two brothers, Allard (Rita) Richardson, Tracadie-Sheila, NB, and Omer Richardson, Portage River, NB; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as two step-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 2003; as well as a brother, Dassise; and a sister, Alga Leclair. Leonille's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Charlotte Street, Sackville on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11 am, Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial in the Holy Rosary - St. Vincent's Parish Cemetery. All are invited to a reception at the Jones Funeral Home following the burial.
