Roland Leger Roland Leger, 61, of Villa de Repos, Moncton, passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2008 at his home following his most recent battle with cancer. Roland had suffered serious and debilitating injuries in an automobile accident over 40 years ago. Those who knew and cared for him, are consoled that he's now at peace. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Yvonne (Blaquière) Leger. Roland was the last survivor of his immediate family. He is survived by several aunts, cousins, the staff at the Villa, and the many volunteers who have been a big part of his family and daily life. At Roland's request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Monday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow. Interment will be in St. Anselme Cemetery, Dieppe. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roland's memory can be made to the charity of the donors choice.
