57, Sydney It is with great sadness that we, the family, regret to announce the passing of Ruth Kokocki, which occurred Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late George and Lina (Watson) Lynds. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Ruth was a registered nurse working at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, until her illness. Surviving are her three daughters, Kelly (Kokocki) (Colin) Matthison, Kitchener, Ont., Nikki Kokocki, Yarmouth, N.S., and Krista Kokocki, Sydney; one brother, Byron Lynds, Sydney; and two grandchildren, Micah and Naomi. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Carmen Kokocki. Visitation for the late Ruth Kokocki will take place Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Biggar officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Samaritan's Purse or the Gideon Bibles.
