Elva L. Bannister
Elva L. Bannister Elva L. Bannister, 80, of Moncton, with her daughters by her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late William and Beulah (Beecham) Ross. Elva was a former employee of the T. Eaton Co. at both the original location as well as the Highfield Square location. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother who enjoyed cooking and was famous for her fudge and bread. She enjoyed music, playing lotto scratch tickets and spending quality time with her friends and family. Her presence will be very sadly missed by her daughters; Brenda Bannister, Debbie Adams (Ernie), Moncton; granddaughter, Stacey Butler; great granddaughter, Jayme Warren; brothers, Leslie Ross (Eve), Robert Ross (Janice), Warren Ross (Ruth); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband of 58 years, E. William "Bill" Bannister (2005); brothers, Hanford, Russell; sisters, Shirley, Doreen, Gertrude. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, August 16, 2008, 10:30 am, Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
