Boyd H. Laventure Boyd H. Laventure, 64, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, August 18, 2008 following a lengthy illness. Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Hilton (1996) and Villa (2007) (Allison) Laventure. Boyd was a retired Meteorologist with Environment Canada with 32 years service. For over 20 years, Boyd reported live the daily weather forecasts for several local radio stations. He was a Registered Motorcycle Instructor for the Canadian Safety Council and was an avid automobile enthusiast. He enjoyed working on and restoring old cars and was a former rally car driver in the Maritimes. Boyd will be sadly missed by his wife of over 38 years, Loretta (Perry); brother, James "Jim" (Judy), Moncton; nephew, Mark (Holly), Halifax. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. Private family service to be held. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Pointe du Chene. In Boyd's memory, donations to Greenwood Cemetery Fund or Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.
