Lawrence "Lornie" W. Little Lawrence "Lornie" W. Little, 88, of Clairville, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Born in Clairville, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Scott) Little. Prior to his retirement as a school bus driver, Lornie hauled wood, coal, gravel and ran a small family farm. He loved teasing children and making everyone laugh. A strong giant with a gentle heart. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Clairville, a Church Elder, member of the Manse Committee and a volunteer for the Cemetery. Lornie will be sadly missed by his wife of over 67 years, Mariam (Steeves) Little; sons, Stuart (Gloria), Wasaga Beach, ON; Gerald (Janice), Clairville; daughter, Marilyn Lerette (Peter), Sackville; grandchildren, Larry (Marlene), Michelle, Becky (Matt), Dan (Pam), Heidi, Amie (Daniel), Cody; great grandchildren, Carlee, Hannah, Lauren, Taylor, Graden, Kalmit, Blake, Gracen, Tiare, Kaleb; sister, Flora Beers (Warren), Beersville; in-laws, Freda (Harold) Steeves; Ray (Caroline) Steeves; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, predeceased by sisters, Ida, Alice, Jean, Hughena; brother, Walter. Visitation at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Clairville, Friday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Saturday, August 30, 2008, 2:00 pm, Rev. Sandy Sutherland officiating. Interment, Church Cemetery.
