62, Sydney Guy Mortimer, 62, of Sydney passed away Nov. 4,2008, at his residence in Sydney River. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Sidney and Elizabeth (Hiltz) Mortimer. Guy was a member of Church of Christ the King. He was a school teacher at Sydney Academy until his retirement. Guy is survived by sons, Scott, Toronto, Todd, Edmonton; sister, Jan Van Zoost, Annapolis Royal; and a brother, Alan, Halifax. A graveside service will take place Thursday, 2 p.m. at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Fred Rhymes officiating.
