Lloyd Albert Ryan
Lloyd Albert Ryan 1925 - 2008 Lloyd Ryan, 82, of Saint-André-LeBlanc, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on September 3rd, 2008, with his loving family at his side. Born in Saint-André-LeBlanc, he was the son of the late Frederick and Amelia Ryan (Niles). Lloyd, as a young man, worked in the logging camps of BC and later enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Peacekeeper. He served over seas, in Germany as a Peacekeeper. After 10 years service he moved back to Saint-André-LeBlanc to take over the family farm. Lloyd was a hog farmer until his retirement in 1988. Lloyd will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Thérèse (Goguen); his five sons, Gordon (Cécile) of Grand-Barachois; Danny (Janita) of Shédiac; Gary (Berthe) of Bas Cap-Pelé; Kevin (Yvette) of Sainte-André-LeBlanc; and Wayne of Saint-André-LeBlanc; his two daughters, Marilyn (Gerard) Légère of Saint-André-LeBlanc; and Carole (Charles) Goguen of Moncton, his ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by all his siblings and three infant children. Lloyd will be remembered by all as a person who loved a good party and a good joke. Visitation will be at the Sainte-Thérèse d'Avila church slumber room in Cap-Pelé from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm on Friday September 5th and on Saturday, September 6th from 9am until the funeral mass at 10:30am. The funeral mass will be held at Sainte-Thérèse d'Avila Church in Cap-Pelé. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
