Phyllis Maisie Thompson 1912-2008 With great sadness the family announces the death of Phyllis Maisie Thompson, 95 of Richibucto, NB. Phyllis passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent, Thursday, September 18th, 2008. Born in Prosser Brook, NB she was the daughter of the late Melbourne and Alma (Prosser) Bannister. Phyllis was a long time member of St. John's Anglican Church, Rexton, former member of the R & R Anglican Guild, past president of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto and she volunteered for the Canadian Red Cross for many years in the 1950s and 1960s. Phyllis was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was deeply loved by all who knew her. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her two sons, Brian of Rexton; Gregory (Linda) of Richibucto; special daughter-in-law, Betty Thompson of Rexton; 13 grand children; 20 great grand children; and 5 great great grand children. She was predeceased by three sons, Robert, Melbourne (Mel) and Allan, two sisters, Ethel & Elizabeth, one brother, Hanford,; and two great grand children, Shawn and Devin. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Saturday evening from 7-9 and Sunday from 2-4. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 21st, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto with Reverend John G. Pearce officiating. Internment will be held in the Richibucto Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
