Ruth E. Peters 1929 - 2008 Ruth Ealenor Peters passed away on Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, November 29th 1929, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Marjorie (Chandler) McKay. Ruth is survived by her son, Alan Peters, daughters; Barbara (Peters) Owens, Carol (Peters) Robichaud (Jeff) and Debbie (Peters) Batten, all of Riverview. Ruth will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren; Jimmy Peters, Heather, Jeff and Cheryl Urquhart and Alexander Batten. Also surviving are brothers; Lewis (Virginia) McKay of Turtle Creek and Walter McCann of Riverview. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, James Peters brother, James McKay of Moncton, sisters; Francis Savoie (McKay), Joyce Savoie (McKay) all of Moncton, Alma Crossman (Curtis) and Rachel Griffiths (McKay) of Riverview. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visitation on Tuesday September 30th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, followed by a reception in the Garden View Room. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of NB, the Canadian Diabetes Association or The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
