Edgar Cormier

Edgar Cormier 1915 - 2008 Cap-Pelé - Edgar Cormier, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 5, 2008 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Cap-Pelé on July 27th, 1915, he was the son of the late Vincent and the late Albina (Arsenault) Cormier. Edgar was a talented woodworker. He loved music and enjoyed playing the fiddle, also he had a great interest in astronomy. He was a member of the Club d'ge d'Or of Cap-Pelé. Edgar will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Exelda (Gaudet) Cormier; three sons, Joseph Cormier (Bernice), Roland Cormier (Joy) both of Cap-Pelé, Normand Cormier (Janet) of Calgary, AB; five daughters, Marie-Mai Landry (Jean-Guy) of Moncton, Mariana Cormier (Robert Magee) of Cap-Pelé, Noëlla Cormier (Mike Bolger) of Charlottetown, PEI, Rolande Cormier of Cocagne and Denise Gallant (Laurent) of Grande-Digue. Besides his parents, Edgar is predeceased by three brothers, Nazaire, Camille, Albert; five sisters, Adelice, Léonie, Emilie, Lauzina, Anna and two granddaughters, Melissa and Monica Gallant. Visitation will be at the Sainte-Thérèse d'Avila church slumber room in Cap-Pelé on Wednesday, October 8th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Thursday, October 9th from 9am until the funeral mass at 10:30am. The funeral mass will be held at Sainte-Thérèse d'Avila RC Church in Cap-Pelé. If so desired donation to the Foundation Dr.Georges L. Dumont, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
