Elmo Hugh Munroe 1921 - 2008 HALIFAX, NS - Elmo Hugh Munroe, 87, of Halifax, NS, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Halifax Infirmary surrounded by his loving family. Born in Houlton, Maine, USA, on April 10, 1921, he was the son of Eric and Eunice (Carroll) Munroe of Tabusintac, NB. He was predeceased by his "precious" wife Reta Janet (Wishart) Munroe. He is survived by his "four" children, Mary Lynn Smith (Ron), Burnaby, BC, Heather McCallum (Robert), Riverview, NB, Lorna Butz (Thomas), Smithers, BC, and Ronald Munroe (Cynthia), Halifax, NS. He dearly loved his 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Clara Greenough, Trenton, ON; and his brothers, Donald Munroe and William Munroe of Tabustintac, NB. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Tabusintac, NB on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2pm, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Church, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of choice.
