Roy Lewis McGlashing 1923 ~ 2008 Roy L. McGlashing, 84 of Moncton passed away after a brief illness early Sunday morning October 26th, 2008. Roy was born on November 30th, 1923 in Cape Tormentine, NB; he was the son of the late Harvey B. and Emily (Snowdon) McGlashing. Roy retired from CNR after 30 years of service. Roy was an avid bowler. He played in two crib leagues with his good friend and partner Bob Arsenault of Moncton. Roy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis of Moncton, a son Phillip at home, a daughter Irene of Moncton. He also leaves behind 3 loving grandchildren; Bradley & Teri Leigh and Tanya. Also left behind to mourn the loss of Roy is his caregiver and good friend of 25 years Vickie Dobson, along with her three children; Randy, Cory & Crystal. Survived by his brother; Oswald (Mary) of Moncton, a sister; Ada Dobson (Alonzo) of Cape Tormentine. Roy was also Grampy Roy to Jordan & Bradley Dobson, Mia & Olivia Dobson all of Moncton. Predeceased by his brothers: Franklin, Harvey, Russell & Ernest and by two sisters, Irene & Pearl. He leaves to mourn several nieces & nephews. By Roy's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place. Interment at fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
