J. Donald Logan
J. Donald Logan 1925 - 2008 Donald Logan passed away peacefully after a brief illness at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday November 1, 2008. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Dr. Herbert and Cassie (Myles) Logan and husband of Betty (Bissett) Logan. Don retired from Crown Life Insurance in 1983. He was a long time member of The Moncton Curlers Association (MCA), past member of the Kinsmen and K40. Over the years Don coached High School Curling, Co-Chaired the Maritime Band Festival Maude Burbank Memorial, served on the District School Board and The VON Board of Directors. Don was an avid stamp collector and loved collecting antique's, traveling to many estate auctions. Besides his wife Betty of 53 years, he is survived by his son John (Claudia) of Moncton, two grandchildren; Emily and Grant and several nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Cathryn. Visitation will be held on Monday November 3, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at Mount Royal United Church on Tuesday November 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm. followed by a reception in the church hall. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Liver Foundation "Atlantic Canada Chapter", Mount Royal United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
