Donald W. Watling 1934 - 2008 Miramichi - Donald William Watling, husband of the late Vera Watling, of the North Black River Road, Black River Bridge, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday evening, November 8, 2008, at the age of 74. Born in Black River Bridge, on July 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Alexander (Dick) and Lillian (Edge) Watling. He was a farmer and a former employee of the N.B. Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He is survived by several sisters in law and brothers in law; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera, in 2007; one sister, Agnes MacColl; one brother, Walter Watling. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Monday only, from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund or St. Stephen's United church, would be appreciated by the family.
