Barbara (Barb) Noble On Monday December
Barbara (Barb) Noble On Monday December 15, 2008, Barbara (Barb) Noble of Moncton, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital. Born on October 13th, 1947 and raised in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Walter Gabourie. Barb is survived by her loving daughters, Mandy and Christina, both of Moncton; brothers, Jim (Barb) and Paul; sister, Doreen (Ron), all of Ontario. Barb expressed her wish for the obituary to be in her own words, thus the following: "My faith carried me on my journey these last seven years and, with faith intact, I passed from this world to the next. Cancer took a lot from me but there were many things it could not claim. It could not keep me from receiving expert medical care from Doctors LeBlanc, Park, Rubin, Goobie and Mansfield (the one who is always right!). It could not stop the ministering of the wonderful angels of the Oncology Clinic, Extra-Mural and Palliative Care, who gave so much of themselves to me. Special thanks to Carol, Nancy and Marcia. Imagine the quiet rustle of angels wings! Cancer could not keep dear angels from surrounding me and carrying me when I could not fly alone: Angie, Norma, Regina, Kandy, Kathie B., Cathy K., Jacqueline, Jean, Linda (Pik), Danika, Yvette and Irene. There are others that I am sorry I could not list. Please know that I appreciate everything that everyone has done. Cancer could not claim the support I received from my family: Lorna, Lloyd, Kristi, Wayne, Emily, Deane: my sister Doreen, brother-in-law Ron, brother Jim and sister-in-law Barb, and brother Paul. I especially appreciated the support from Keith. It could not claim the bonds I formed with the paddlers and sisters of 'tit Bateaux and the supporting sisters, the 4 "Q's" and a "P". There is always one special person who stands out. "Jeff baby, we've been through it all. I love you." In the end cancer claimed my body but it could not claim my spirit or my soul. My only regret is leaving my two children, the loves of my life, Mandy and Christina. Please take care of them, as you have done with me. I'll love you, girls, endlessly." Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007). With visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with vigil and sharing to take place at 8:30 from the funeral home. Thanks to Kurt Cobb for going the extra mile. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, Riverview on Wednesday December 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. Family flowers only. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made at any TD Canada Trust in the Moncton area, where there has been a trust fund established for Barb's girls.
