Charles LaPointe The death of Charles LaPointe of Charlo, occured suddenly at his home on December 21st at the age of 60. Born in Seaside, he is survived by his Mother, Catherine LaPointe, Wife, Elva LaPointe and daughters Cathy McPhail (Curtis)of Moncton, Tracy LaPointe of Moncton, Tammy St. Pierre (Jacques)of St.John, Wendy McGraw (Richard) of Charlottetown, P.E.I., & son Elvis LaPointe(Joy) of Seaside, Brothers - Lonnie LaPointe (Tammy), Donnie LaPointe, Kenny LaPointe, Daryl LaPointe (Mary), Ray LaPointe (Suzanne). Sisters - Anita LaPointe (John), Charlotte Jalbert (Marcel), Judy Hamilton (Ian), Rita Hickey (Roger), Eileen Finnamore (Norman), Emily Finnamore (John), Ann Driscoll (Brian) as well as six grandchildren. Charles was predeceased by his father Clifford LaPointe. Charles was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grampy and friend to all who knew him. He cherished his family and looked forward to family get togethers. He worked for Brunswick Mining and Smelting for 20 years as an industrial mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours hunting and fishing. Considered a "jack of all trades" he could be found tinkering with things around the house or yard. In the last years of his life he courageously battled cancer. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point. A private family service will be held at a later date.
