Gertrude (Trudy) L. Roper Gertrude (Trudy) L. Roper, 85, of Moncton, with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday January 4, 2009. Born in Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Lou and Bertie (Sears) Williams. Trudy was former personal manager with Kmart, Mountain Rd. and retired from City Rentals (1994) Moncton. She was a member of Central United Church and in past years enjoyed swimming, curling, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Trudy will be sadly missed by her sons, Bruce (Peggy), Point La Nim; Frank (Sandra), Shediac; David, Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Jenny, Caleb (Robyn), Craig (Bryna) and Lesley; great grandchildren, Torin, Kloe, Tristen and Keira; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband J. Preston Roper (October 2008), brother, George; sister, Jennie.
