Corey Alexander Richard

Corey Alexander Richard 1988 - 2009 Corey Richard, 20, of Miramichi, N.B. passed away suddenly as the result of a highway accident. Born in Miramichi, N.B. , he was the son of Kelly Richard (Clancy) of Chatham, N.B. and Leonard Richard of Loggieville, N.B. Corey or "Calves", as known by his many friends, loved life to the fullest and everyone loved him back. Self described on his own Facebook webpage as "I am super cool and I love to make people laugh." Corey was involved in many activities including being a member of the UNB Reds Cheerleading Team and Teens Against Drunk Driving (TADD). He passionately loved to sing, dance, take pictures, have fun, and hang out with friends. He also enjoyed playing volleyball and rugby. Besides his parents, Corey will be missed by his brother, Chris, his grandparents Mabel Clancy and Sandra and Arthur Richard, as well as, his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather Blair Clancy. Corey Richard is resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi, N. B. on Thursday Jan 15th from 7 to 9pm and on Friday Jan 16th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 1pm from St Michael's Basilica Miramichi, NB., with Fr John Fraser officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) as Corey was a strong supporter and former president of the local chapter of TADD would be appreciated.
